Here's my setup (only reason getting 750 instead of 650 is it's only $10 more):

This is a better PSU for the same price -

XFX Pro series 750w 80+ Gold certified PSU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

This PSU is made by Seasonic, the best OEM in the PSU business. Though the Corsair unit is a very good PSU, I would recommend this PSU over the Corsair unit any day, due to better build quality.

Agreed.
CWT<Seasonic all day every day. Not to say that a HX750 or RM750 is a bas unit in any way.

Pretty sure Corsair PSUs are manufactured by Seasonic. Honestly, I'd go for which ever you can get on sale. I promise you'd be absolutely satisfied with either. Both PSUs are of great reliability and quality. There's your answer.

Corsair primarily use CWT for their units and this one is no exception. They use Seasonic for the TX, HX and AX (Non i) series of PSUs.

Corsair has various OEMs. CWT does the HX 750 and 850, the entire RM series, CX430-600, GS Series and TXM series. Flextronics does the AXi series and AX1200, Seasonic does the rest of the AX series, HX 650 and 1050 and TX V2.

I'm running the RM 750 right now. Changed from a Seasonic X-750. The Corsair is a great unit, I cant hear a peep out of it. No fan noise (It doesnt spin under moderate load) or coil whine at all. I'm liking the flat black cables that come with it as well, really helped clean up my build. The only warning is make sure you have room, it is 180mm long, which is a bit longer than most other PSUs.

The RM750 and RM850 are not made by CWT. They're made by Chicony Power Technology. Even the tear downs in the reviews show this.

The RM450, RM550, RM650 and RM1000 are made by CWT. The voltage regulation seems to be a bit tighter on the CWT made models.

Cost cutting shows up with the use of cheap Taiwanese capacitors on the secondary on some of the models. The RM550, reviewed by PC Perspective, shows that Japanese caps are used on both the primary and secondary sides.
