830 vs 840 vs 840 EVO vs 840 Pro. What are the main differences between the 4 SSDs mentioned above. Based on boot time, what is the best SSD for the price?

best ssd for price is the 840 evo or 830. 840 pro is faster, but also more expensive, and the difference between it and a 830 is not really noticeable in regular tasks.

840 is just a cheaper (lower quality) of the 830. I think the 830 is actually faster and more reliable then the 840 (non-pro).

I would go with the EVO. If you are constantly writing lots of data and large files, the PRO will be better. Faster write speeds. If not (like me) go with the cheaper option.

840 evo has slower write speeds compared to the pro. Also, the pro has a much longer lifespan and is more durable.

If money is no object, the pro is the best ssd in the market. if you want to save some money, get the 840 evo, it is fast enough for normal usage and will last for a while.
