Hi all,
I am going to be building my first computer soon and I have purchased a PSU early because it was on a great sale. I am trying to find a way to test it and see if it is working before the return period expires and before I send out the UPC for rebate as well.
I am not sure what the best way to do it is, but i figure if I connect it to an old mobo and see if the mobo post/boots then everything should be fine. Please let me know if this is a good idea or bad idea and if i risk damaging my new PSU.
The PSU is a Corsair HX750 and the old motherboard is an Asus P5Q-E.
Also please let me know if there is a better way to test my power supply until I buy the rest of my parts on or around Black friday.
Thanks
