My computer just started overheating all the sudden. When i play BF4 i can play a couple games and then it either freezes the whole computer or just shuts down. Right now my CPU is at 35C idle. When i play BF4 it gets up to the 50s and then shuts down. I also have liquid cooling and a couple of fans. Heres my specs

AMD FX 8350 Eight Core 4.0GHz
AMD Radeon HD 7870 2GB
8GB Ram
Windows 8 64 bit
700W power supply
2TB Hard Drive
Gigabyte GA-970A UD3 Motherboard

What kind of cooling do you have? Does it sound ok?

What kind of Power supply do you have specifically?

Does it crash in other games? BF4 beta might not be cooperative.

Is turbo turned on in the BIOS? Manually set the voltage and clock?

I dont think its the beta because i can play it just fine. Ill be playing a match and my computer just shuts off. I dont think a beta will force shutdown a computer. My cpu isnt overclocked or anything. My power supply is a AzzA alpha 700W. This is my liquid cooling: IBP-Z001 Watercooling System. I have no idea how to tweek the voltage on my cpu either or what it should be at.

But I dont see how me playing a beta will make me crash. Not crash the game but my computer shuts off. I will be playing just fine no glitches or anything and then it just suddenly happens

Run some stability tests like Memtest, AIDA64, Prime95. If you have anything overclocked put it back to stock settings before starting these tests.
Does it act like power is cut out or does it shut down or blue screen at least?

Like the power just cuts out. Blackness. I just played WoW and it did the same thing so its not the beta my PC is overheating.

You would probably be fine 520w even. More watts doesn't matter if their cheap unreliable watts.
You can pick up the Seasonic USA 660XP2 for $105 w/free shipping from Newegg.com right now.
Its PLATINUM efficiency with 660watts.
Before you buy anything. Run those stability tests I told you. Run them alone, then if its stable, run them along with a GPU stresser like MSI Afterburner.
