i have once formatted n reinstalled windows on my netbook but now my back on my netbook is missing and i cant see the file, how do i now reinstall my windows 7 on my netbook .

Sounds like you're in the wrong recovery menu. System Restore is a Microsoft feature built in to Windows, and in your case it has been disabled, hence no restore points.

It is not the same thing as System Recovery or Factory Recovery which is provided by your netbook manufacturer.

So it seems you are probably pressing the wrong key at boot time or selecting the wrong menu option.

You still haven't posted the model number of your laptop, but this Gigabyte document should help (Adobe Reader required to open it):

What i mean is that i had once reinstalled windows 7 on my netbook but now i want to do it and cant remember. i would love if i can be told how to reinstall windows 7 on my netbook.

Thanks, the make of my netbook is GIGABYTE . I have tried the recovery and when it opens up it tells me 1) "Open system restore" 2) " it now says no restore point have been created and i should open system protection". This i have done severally but still says the same. This is the issue i have.
