How to migrate data on software RAID drives ( dead motherboard )

My old computed has died, but the hard drives are hopefully alive. I am building a new box. The question is how do I mount the HDDs from the old one in the new one so I do not loose the data.
The old one had a Gigabyte 945 Pro mobo. I had 2 500 GB HDDs connected to it as RAID 1.
Is there a safe way to connect them on the new mobo, so I can retrieve the data?
The OS was installed on the 3rd drive. Hopefully that one is alive too.

Since it was raid1 either of the drives should work fine as a single drive. I'm not sure your new motherbd will be able to recognize the raid array or not so don't connect the other one just yet. Let is act as your backup of the first one.

Install the OS to the 3rd one without these being plugged in.
