I just built a new PC and was planning on using an old wireless network adapter, however, I wasn't aware, after attempting to install its driver and utility software, that it wasn't compatible with Windows 7 or a 64 bit system.

My networking issue is sorted, but when I went to remove this old utility software I found that it is not listed in the Control Panel uninstall list. It does have a folder in Program Files (x86) and it created a shortcut on the desktop. When I try to run the program it just flashes on the screen and then closes. Also, there is no uninstall.exe in the the folder's files.

Can I just delete the folder and files from Program Files and effectively remove it? Or will it be mucking around in the registry somewhere?

The matter at hand is the NetGear WG121 Configuration Utility.

Thanks.
