Windows 7 64bit freeze/Start-up Repair/Won't reboot after RAM installation

Hello

I recently added 8gb of ram (win7 64bit) and since then have been having intermittent problems with either A. system freezing B. system not starting up or C. starting up after multiple Start up repairs.

Ive tried testing the RAM one by one and got good clean start ups. Tried also testing each DIMM one by one, same, got good start ups no problem. Ive tried now different pairings (dimm A - 4gb and 4gb, Dimm b 8gb and empty, Dimm A - 4gb and 8gb, Dimm B 4gb and empty) and it works about 80% of the time, 20% of the time producing freezes/trouble starting up. Any ideas would be much appreciated. Im not sure if this is a pairing issue, or perhaps I should look at the speeds of the ram cards? Thanks so much. Best regards, Brett Morrison

  1. Please provide your RAM details, i.e. the 8GB you have added recently.
    I can see your motherboard supports Dual Channel DDR3 1600/1333 MHz non-ECC , un-buffered memory (Max 32GB) in 4 DIMM slots.

    Your Desktop supports upto 32GB RAM on 64bit OS. And your supported memory types are 1333 & 1600 MHz.

    But I asked you for your RAM details. Please provide your RAM stick details.

    I guess you are having voltage mismatch. To ensure the issue, we will need the detail of your newly added RAM stick.
