I may be overclocking my FX 6300 CPU overall...
Just need inputs..

Here are my main components:

CPU : AMD FX 6300 3.5ghz (4.1 turbo)
MOBO: Asrock 970FX Extreme 4
Water Cooling: Corsair H60
PSU : Corsair Enthusiastic TX650 +80 Bronze
GPU: EVGA GTX 660 SC

How well do you think would overclocking this CPU go?
What could possibly be the max I can go?
Would it be hard to overclock this card? Or are there like certain programs that'll make it easier?
Are there any big risks in the process of doing this?

Also, how well will this affect performance? Especially with games.
I am gaming on a 1440x900p monitor only by the way...

Completely new to this.Thank you!
PS: I haven't gotten the PC yet, it's in the making ! xD

Why don't you actually get the components in hand first before we spend a lot of time trying to help you with information you may not even use.

I suggest Googling the FX6300 overclocking and all your questions will be answered through the various resources out there.

You have to realize all hardware is different, just because Johnny gets to 5ghz doesn't mean Bill will, even with the exact same hardware.

It depends and you cooling and also you CPU. i have the H60 and my limit is 4.6Ghz when room temps are great like now in the winter. As Ryan said, every CPU is different. you cant know until you try.

Looking for opinions based on people who already have experience or knowledge. Not here to resolve a problem/issue.lol
And that is exactly why I made my own thread,, Because the other results dont have MY specs. Even if they did, I'd still be interested for more opinions on this.
Thanks though.

Here the guide that I used

Also I suggest using IBT AVX for stress testing. From my experience it detects errors much faster than Prime95 does.
