Missing Operating System Custom Built Computer

Ok hey guys i would like to start off by thanking you for your time to read my post. So i recently built a computer and decided to save a couple of dollars by installing the operating system via USB which i used to download on my laptop. So when i put my USB via the port and go to my BIOS and set the USB as my priority and reset the computer it just says that there is no operating system on the USB. But when i connect the USB to my laptop which has Windows Vista it download windows 7 from the USB. Can someone help me I don't understand why i can't install windows 7 on my custom built computer which currently doesn't have an operating system. Thank you, a reply of any sort would be great.

  1. I'm assuming that your download wasnt a legal one, correct? If this is so, its possible that the file you downloaded was probably fake and will not work. You're better off just buying it legally. But if you do opt for the free route, dont go downloading any OS that you find online. Take your time and get confirmation that it works, you do not want to install a virus on a brand new computer on accident thinking it's a OS.
