this is my system specification,

CPU : AMD FX-8320
Motherboard : Gigabyte 78lmt-usb3
RAM : 8gb corsair vengeance (2x4gb)
Cabinet : Corsair carbide 200R
SMPS/PSU : corsair VS450

1)I've recently bought this system, now I'm considering of buying a good gpu like 7770 HD or something like 650ti, Iam worried about the psu i have, most sites say 450w is enough to run even 7850 and 660gtx, but i'm still concerned and not confident.

2) Also my board supports only pci 2.0, i know all cards are compatible but will there be any performance loss?

3) The RAM i have is running natively @1333mhz despite being 1600mhz vengeance. My board supports 1333mhz+ (O.C) , what does this mean exactly? i know all vengeance 1600mhz are 1333mhz by stock., but what does 1333mhz+(O.C) mean? and will there be a problem if i use 16gb vengeance in future?

4)What are your suggestions? what cards do you suggest? ( i don't use a DVD writer, i use only USB sticks for most work, for installation works i would use a spare dvd that i have on another system, so just to be clear, i will not be connecting dvd drive to my system.)

Solution
If the PSU has the connectors for it and the name on the side is any good, you can be sure that it can handle the load. They wouldn't give you PCIe connectors if the PSU couldn't handle it.

1. The 7770 sips at power, your fine.
2. Nope
3. It means that the board officially supports a maximum of 1333Mhz, but the board manufacturer is saying it can go higher if you overclock your memory. Given your sticks are rated at 1600Mhz, I would just go in to the BIOS and change the settings to the kits advertised specs.
4. Wait to see what AMD's Hawaii cards do to the market and performance lineup, then make a decision. Who knows, might force the 7850 1GB cards down to your pricepoint.
Either of those cards will work fine with your system.

Honestly a 7850 should not even pose a problem.

You are dealing with mid level cards. You will loose no performance with 2.0 vs 3.0(even high end cards loose at most 2-5 %)

The OC part is because the board it self was designed to support slower 1066 memory, Your cpu should have no problems with 1333 to be honest.

If you are not in a hurry, You may be able to wait and see what AMD has up its sleeve for new cards. At the least this may drive down the price of other cards you are looking at.

thanks!! i'm considering to wait for some more time (y). And as with the ram, so won't it be a problem if i clock it upto 1600mhz? because the card does 1600mhz but the board just says 1333+ (O.C) ?

And will there be a problem with psu if i use 2 hdds? both of them are 7200rpm 160gigs! (i know, pretty old :p ), so add 2 hdd to my specs, i could still use 7770 HD or 7850 HD on my VS450 ? (my psu also has 2 pci connectors)
