Hi, yesterday i decided to upgrade my wireless network card in my laptop, i brought an Intel-dualband-ac-7260 card. But after the instalation, I booted the system, it's was going slower than normal, and when I entered the windows interface, everything was going in slow motion, every anymation did the same it was just 10 times as slow.

I got the drivers on and then rebooted the system, but it said something was broken and it had to run a repair, so I did that but when i entered Windows again it was still in slow motion.
The very weird thing is, the "slow motion" thing also happens when i enter the BIOS and when the "windows is loading" logo comes, it all moves like it was 0.1 speed.
The laptop is an Acer aspire 5942G

Specs
Processor: Intel Core i5 520M
Graphics Adapter: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650
Harddrive: unknown

There it's really much info about the specs. Is this enough info, or have i missed something?

I am aware that I should do that, but I don't have the right screwdriver for that right now, and I fear that i might break the screws without that, so i just wanted to know if anyone knew anything about this problem.

*In first post it should say "there isn't really much...." sorry for my english

Actually, i just changed to the old one, and it didn't have then probelm, then i changed a back and it was there again, but it's not as bad always, some times it makes the computer take 10 min to start(usually takes 1) sometimes only 3 min.
I guess it's the new wifi card, but i would really like to know why, and if i can do anything about it

Check for exclamation marks in device management and take a look in event viewer. The driver should also have an option to disable wifi and the bluetooth part. Let's see, if that changes anything.

I have disabled it, and i didn't change anything, so i restarted, still no result. I couldn't find anything in the event viewer :/

Sounds like a bad card now? Is it a new or a used one? Can you send it back?

I got it yesterday, it's totally new, and yes i can send it back. But that still makes me wonder why it makes my whole system go in slow motion.

Last chance: start the task manager. sort the processes by cpu usage and see what's creating the load.

Hmm, just checked and honestly, nothing, csrss and dwm sometimes jumps up to 2-4% useage, but else it's just google chrome using its usual 2%
I got a constant load from 2%-10% and thats what i normally have, do you think it could have something to do with the drivers?

What I expected. It mus be something on the low level, like irq storms or other incompatibility. Is there a bios update available?
