Being unsatisfied by G400 mouse (It's a little bit worse than my MX518, which werved me for 4 years), thinking of purchasing G700 mouse.

But couple months ago new Logitech xxxx-S series were announced, and now I see a lot of their old things, with another color theme and letter S in the end of the name.

So now I'm a little bit confused - what the real difference between G700 and G700s?

I've read a lot of threads about this, but those interested were already owners of G700, asking "Do I have to pay money for another color". So I don't realize the difference yet.

So, just to be sure - are there some technical or software upgrades in new one G700s, maybe slightly modified?

P.S. And can't recognize by those photoes the color, both of them. So, whoever owns this things, please, could you tell me the real color of G700 and G700s? Mine G400 Has some brown "shadow", while I was thinking its entirely black!)

The g700s has a coating on it to help prevent clammy hands for better grip and it also has a better laser. IMO its worth the extra money for the better laser. Up to you tho other than those and it being a different skin nothing else is different.

I also think its worth the extra money, if you want better precision. I was looking at them same mice for my gaming rig, i decided on the g700s then i decided if i was going to go big on a mouse i was going to get the Razer Mamba @ $120 insted.
