Hi guys, thanks for stopping. my question is a common one, but rest assured I have tried to google it on my own. I have a Satallite L675D-S7016 with the AMD Turion ii 2.3 dual core CPU. the MoBo is a socket S1 NALAE what I want to know is if a Phenom ii x940 will work on that board (I found no compatibility chart) Further specs are below

AMD Turion II mobile processor P520 / 2.3 GHz
chipset AMD M880G

Mobo K000103970
Socket S1G4

I know both of these chips are S1G4 I am just hoping I am not leaving anything out. Thanks for the help.

You can't replace the CPU in a laptop.

I disagree with your assessment.

I've never seen a laptop in which you can replace the CPU before, sorry for my quick answer.
I thought every laptop CPU was soldered directly to the motherboard.
Looks like your motherboard supports Turion64, Athlon64 and Sempron processors, but i am not sure.
