Hey Community!

I just ordered a 600w PSU, and an i5 3570 for my rig, as follows.

CPU: G850>3570 (stock)
GPU: HD 7750
PSU: 450W>600w
HDD: ~800gb (3 drives, 500, 250, 160)

Anyways, I got the non k edition of the 3570, I know it has turbo boost technology.

How high can that clock get? 3.8ghz? 4? I saw some people on amazon reporting they got it to four, which confused me because I thought the max was 3.8...

Thanks a bunch,
Matt

The non k version has a locked multipier. CPU clock rate is multiplier x bus speed so in order to get a higher clock you have to increase the bus speed. This can cause issues with your RAM because, well, you have to overclock it. I suggest not overclocking that cpu at all. You should have gotten a 3570k if you wanted to.
