I have seen many different blogs on cooling CPU's down to -25°C to -40°C regulated with phase change refrigeration systems. I've seen them sold in a couple of different places on the net, and some beautiful integration into standardized computer hardware boxes. But nothing available to cool below -40°C. I'm wondering this: What are your thoughts on a system offering -80°C? Something that could be bought and used in the same way these -40° systems are.

I'd say:Take my money already!
Most likely it would be a Cascade.
If you know where to get one,let me know..
Unless your name is Scott.

Not Scott . . . Thank God :) I'll keep you posted. So it sounds like there are no cascade systems out there in the computer industry? I guess nobody (else) out there can do cascade on a small scale very well (let-alone larger scale)? The single stage phase change systems I've seen from LD and Frozen CPU look great but they are pretty steep $$-wise. I guess it's worth it for users to keep their CPUs cool or those guys would be out of business? So you think cascade would be worth your hard earned bucks. How do you think others would respond?

Umm.I have a friend that wants one right now and has to wait two months..The demand isn't super-huge..but Gray Mole is MIA and that leaves a bit of a vacuum.I propbably know 2-3 people that would want one.I would..but I get ln2 for $45 a fillup. :)
