Hello,

My new Thermaltake Black Chaser MK - I case is having problems running both the top and front LED fans. When the cable for said fans is connected to the PSU and the motherboard, the computer shorts, but only when it is connected to both. The computer turns on when connected to just one of either the PSU or motherboard, but the fans don't work.
I have tried using two different cables connecting the fans to the motherboard and PSU, but to no prevail.
Everything else is running smoothly, it is just these two LED fans. Am I doing something wrong?
Also, the molex cable is slightly bent, I don't know whether this may be the problem. There are two links to pictures of the cable bellow.

Thankyou in advance.

your case has a fan controller to run those fans it in the online guild. you plug those two fan into the controler and controlle them from the case fan buttons.

I think that I am getting all the pins in the right slots, but I may be mistaken. I'm running a Corsair CX-750 Modular 80+ Bronze Power Supply.
There is a link to it bellow.

Ok, so I realised I had been tracing the wires back incorrectly and the molex cable that I thought was connected to the fan is actually connected to the external hard drive port of my case. I was plugging that cable, via some extension thing, into the PSU and sys. fan on the motherboard, so I presume that was what was causing the shorting. I'm not sure now where to put that cable though.
I have also come across another cable that I didn't see before, and I have no idea what it is for and where it goes. This may be the problem. It is called a Serial ATA cable 26awg Copartner and is attached to something in the top of the case.
I also retraced the LED fans' cables back and found that they connect to each other and then somewhere into the top of the case.
I don't know whether this information is helpful or not.

Again, thankyou in advance.

I can't find where it says that in the online guide, it seems to be very basic in the manual and it doesn't help me all that much. If you however, could explain it to me, or just send me a link, it would be very very much appreciated. I am not to good with computers myself, and have mostly had help from my friends.

Thank you so much. I would never have discovered that. I didn't even know that the front of the case came off.
It is working like a charm now, all I had to do was plug in the fan there, like you said.
This has helped so much, and so fast!
Once again, thank you both for answering and smorizio for solving my question.
