How can i fix my broken external hard drive (verbatim)

I accidentally dropped my hard drive twice. It does appear on my computer, but it asks me to format it. But once I tried to format it, it says that there is an error.
How can I fix this?


My hard drive is a Verbatim, model #47558, JH8707

There is only one way that might help right click on the disk and select properties .
Under the tools tab click on the error checking section click check now.
Before you click start make sure both boxes are checked.
Especially scan and attempt recovery of bad sectors.
