I just put together my first build last night but after i set everything up my PC wont boot. Only the front panel LEDs light up which is really confusing me. I tested if it was my PSU that was faulty with the paper clip trick but it works fine. The 24 pin connector and the CPU power supply are both properly connected too. I thought it was my mobo but as far as i can tell it isn't broken or cracked or anything like that. Please help :(

Have you tried without ram? If there is no ram it should beep on ram check same applies to GPU check if none present should beep. If those beeps do not come then it looks like a bad board.

Just tried to boot with no ram, nothing from the speaker. How sure are you that its a bad board? Its brand new and i was really careful when installing the parts on it.

If you used standoffs and nothing is shorting the board to the case I am 99% sure, to gain the additional 1% assemble outside the case on a none conductive surface (Cardboard or similar) and try with just CPU in and speaker hooked up.

Thanks for the replies. I was actually going to do this as a last resort solution. Anyways if it does end up being a bad board hopefully i can get my money back from newegg :/

Alright i just did the external build and it works just fine with no problems and it stayed on until i shut it off. I did however get one beep from the speaker tho, im not sure if that is good or bad. Anyways since none of key components of the build are faulty i have no idea what is wrong with it :(

Check for anything that can short in the case Extra standoff and so on.

Well i have all 9 sandoffs aligned with my mobo and case so i don't think it would cause a short. I also don't have anything behind the mobo either. Unless i don't need all 9 standoffs. I'm sorry that i am ignorant about this thing but what else could cause a short besides the standoffs?

Well the board is full width ATX so it uses all 9 so the short may be somewhere else. All I can think of is put it in the case and add components one at a time, start with just board and CPU with cooler should beep with no ram, add ram should beep because no VGA and so on.
I had a faulty harddrive ones that prevented startup.

Sometimes upon a cold shipping computer parts, the battery drains in cold air, a simple battery replacement will fire it right up.. Just came across that solution myself. Hope that helps incase anyone needs help later.
