Fan wattage (corsair sp 120s)

So someone told me that watts for fans is, volts x amps. So that being said, i have SP 120's which supposedly run at 0.08 amps and 12v at max speed, which works out to be less than 1 watt.

Have I missed something ? because that would mean even a fan controller rated at 8w per channel could have 8 on 1 channel..

Don't know why I was expecting more, guess to power around 10 fans at the rpm i want I wont need such a high 'watt-per-channel' fan controller.
Of course I would never actually put 8 fans in 1 channel, too much effort.

I was not worried about the PSU, just interested in the amount of fans I could use on a single channel, when i buy a fan controller.

Since the controllers can vary so much, from 5-50w per channel I've seen. Now I know I don't need anything extreme to run 10-12 fans
