Overclock to clear bottleneck

I have a intel core 2 quad q9300 2.5 GHz , And i also have a gtx 770 , do i Wonder how much will i need to overclock the cpu to get under ten percent gpu bottleneck? The cpu is like 50°C on stress test

That really depends on the processor, some processors simply overclock better than others. Your processor is already of age so you might as well bump up the voltage. Any decrease of lifespan shouldn't be of too big of concern, by the time it dies you will very much be overdue for an upgrade.

I'll probably shoot for 3.0ghz. However, I'm not to familiar with the core architecture's limits so I do not know what its overclocking capabilities are.

I'd aim for 3.2..maybe consider an aftermarket cooler.
That's a Yorkfield, right? I'm running one right now..hmm..@ 3066Mhz
i dropped the voltage because it gets crazy hot..idk if bad mount or what
