Ok do this is the build I'm looking at.

I've been looking into the Gtx 770 (4gb version) a lot but I've noticed that the 7970 (3gb) is supposed to be the AMD equivalent and it's $100 cheaper. Not to mention the 7970 is supposed to be a better Overclocker (which I plan on doing).

Computer will be used for gaming and general use. No real budget but I like to get good bang for my buck (I'm not looking for $700 card)
Thoughts?

get the 7970. If you get a decent chip you can OC upto 1200+. Very good card at the price. I notice that you are building a mini itx build which means you will not add a 2nd gpu later on. 750W might be overkill. Just something to consider. a 550W will easily suffice (650W if you want to be safe while going for OCs).

Yeah this build is because my job requires me to be out of town a lot but I loath laptops. So it has to be portable I don't plan on having two GPU's you're correct. I chose that power supply because of the 10 year warranty (I can carry it over to my next build easily and the 750w with the quality of the power (gold rating) means I will definitely be able to make use of it) it is a move to save me money in the long run

I agree, the 7970 is a better deal at the moment. That's not to say the 770 4GB isn't a good card, but it will be a lot more. The ~$130 difference is not going to give you much of a performance increase. Like Mo said, with a mini ITX board you will only be able to use one card, so you could probably save some money and get a 650 watt power supply.
