hello, I'm building this configuration for gaming:

amd fx6300
vga hd7870

and I thought that I'd use an Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P...

which would you recommend from this list?

MOT ASROCK 970EXTREM3 AM3+ FX 146.16 USD
MOT ASROCK 980DE3/U3S3 AM3+ FX 109.62 USD
MOT ASROCK N68 AM3+ FX 57.46 USD
MOT BIOSTAR AM3+ A960G+ 61.52 USD
MOT GIGABYTE 970A-DS3P AM3+ 126.16 USD
MOT GIGABYTE AM3+ GA-78LMT-S2P 71.32 USD
MOT MSI AM3+ FX 760GM-P21 59.40 USD
MOT MSI AM3+ FX 760GM-P23 65.27 USD
Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P 168.5 USD

thanks!

The ASRock board is certainly a better value. If this is your first build though the Gigabyte board may be more user friendly for you especially if you want to overclock. ASRock certainly makes their products for enthusiasts as evident by their BIOS options, but if you don't know what you're doing it may be a little daunting. If you're leaning towards the ASRock board then to make things a little harder this model had a price drop and is just $5 more

ASRock 990FX Extreme3

It is very similar in terms of features, but is based on the 990FX chipset rather than the 970. One thing to note is that the 990FX extrem3 lacks the internal USB 3.0 header that the 970EXTREM4 has. So if you want to use a case that has front USB 3.0 ports the 970EXTREM4 makes more sense. If not then spend the extra $5 for the 990FX :D

yeah, the thing is i'm from argentina, and the closest thing i'd get is:

Asus M5A97 R2.0 970 Sata3 USB3 USD 185
Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0 970 Sata3 USB3 USD 199
ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 USSD 244

other than the above list...

thank you!

I'v decided to stay with the

Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P 168.5 USD

don't think I'll be crossfiring and is no that easy to choose here. besides my previuos mother was a gigabyte and i'm realy happy with it, lasted 6 years without a problem, pretty good performance and good overclocking, got a athlon 64 x2 4000+ 2.1ghz to 2.6ghz (its a pretty good combo too).

thank you all, regardless of my choice, it was realy usefull.
