Sudden Drop in Game Performance

Hi guys!
This past weekend, i was playing BF3 at 60 FPS with v-sync on no problem on my custom built rig. It has a GTX 760. It could also run Minecraft at a constant 60 FPS. Today when i tried to play these games, it drops to 38-42 FPS, and in Minecraft, it even drops to 20 FPS. I'm not sure what the problem is, i re-installed the driver for my graphics card, i reinstalled Java, restarted, etc. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

I have a similar problem, but for an upgrade reason.

Anyways, back to your issue:
1) Between last weekend and "today" what did you install or remove from your PC?

2) When you say reinstall, did you do a clean install (which wipes past drivers) or just reinstalled it?

I did a clean install, and I didn't really install or uninstall anything.

What's changed in your hardware before the sudden
drop in FPS?

If nothing's changed i would suggest shifting page file to a different HD and try again.

if performance increases, then try running CHKDSK /r on the original drive to identify any bad sectors.
