Computer turn on and off in a split second

Okay, guys i'm gonna need a piece of advice from you!
A few months ago i built my first gaming pc. And things were great until just about now.
I was using the computer, just watching some series nothing heavy or anything, when the computer froze, having no other option I held down the power button, until turned off. But it won't turn on anymore. It gives a life sign the leds turn on but in a split second it off again, and it will keep in that loop forever unless i turn off the power supply.
One thing i noticed though is that while the additional cooler on the front of the pc turns on, the CPU's doesn't , it tries to move forward but it looks like it's stuck, i tried cleaning it and spinning it and it looks and feels fine, i also tried reattaching it to the motherboard still with no luck. Could it be that it really does take a while longer for it to turn and it does the pc is already off again?
What are your thoughts?
By the way you guys are awesome just for reading this far ! Thanks!!
The system:
CPU: i5-3470
Motherboard: P8H77-MLE
8GB of corsair vengeance ram
EVGA GTX660 SUPERCLOCKED
CORSAIR 600W Power Supply

it may be that a part failed on your pc. the power supply may be seeing a dead short and is not turning on to save itself or the power supply died. start with unplugging the gpu and see if the system will post. you may have to clear the cmos. look on the mb and other cards for burnt spots. if you have to bare bones the mb and try another power supply.

I'll have to try and find another power supply to test it ... Tried taking the gpu off , no results... Didn't find any burnt parts either... Could it be that the cooler on the CPU, maybe on short circuit or something? Cause as i said before, the extra cooler spins normally but the cpu's doesn't... So maybe it's the cpu protecting itself from burning up?
