Hello, I was getting BSOD on vista. I ran some memtests and found I had some faulty memory issues. I took the ram stick out to see if it was the problem and it worked again. I removed from 6gb (3 x2gb sticks) now I have 4 gb. Both in the black slots. Ram is DDR3 now.

My CPU is a Acer g45t/g43t amt v 1.0...think it runs around 2.3ghz.
GPU GTX 560.

Anyways I grabbed the new ram and put both sticks into the blue open slots... I booted up computer and a very high pitch alarm(continuous) came from the area of the cpu, computer would not boot. I turned off the computer and removed one of the sticks to see if one of the blue slot 2 was faulty.. Same thing. Then i tested it vice versa. and also tried switching sticks and all possible ways....

Anyways I put the two ram sticks back that were working before.(in the black slots) and tried to boot up my computer.. It turns on, makes some noise then the HD light flickers no more and it just sits there idle. No images on display or anything...

Reason I wanted to add more ram from 4gb to 8 gb is because I was getting memory dumps everytime I tried to open even the simple program now adays. It was running games like GW2 and FF14 arr fine for the last few months on 4gb, now it changed...

Anyways I am lost on what to do.. I have double checked all the connections to see if my Power supply is connected.. Power supply is 750watt also.. thanks in advance!

Hello, MOBO is Acer g45t/g43t amt v 1.0....

processor is a Intel core 2 quad CPU, Q8200.. @ 2.33ghz, 2366,hz , 4 cores, 4 logical processors .

I fixed the boot problem, I am just having BSOD problems now... I have had 4 gb for a while now.. Ran Guild wars 2, and FF14 arr without using up to much ram and getting close to max 4gb...

I have notice recently that my Physical memory is at 2.8gb to 3gb just idle.. It never was this high. Normally was a lot lower and ran programs very well.. I can't even run a simple game like Adventure Island Game..Its a 2d game... Running Virus and CCcleaner and Disc checks, defrag and the works atm to see if I am able to find a problem.

I have been backtracking to when the problems started happening and I think it is the comodo AV software I downloaded..

Been trying to remove it completely for last while but it doesn't wanna leave my computer lol...

Thanks for help though.. Gonna try and close this thread so I don't waste anymore time.
