Hey Guys!

I want to know if the 4770k will keep up with the 2 GTX 770s. The specific card I'm looking at is:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130925

For the relatively high boost speed and 4 GB. I'll probably wait till the 800 Series equivalent, but I want to know if I should start looking at LGA 2011 now (I think the 4930k (if that's the $500 one) is what I'd get otherwise) to keep up with the cards.

My other specs:

ASUS Maximus VI Hero

16GB 1866MHz from Mushkin

1 TB Black

256GB or 128GB 840 Pro

1000W (also want a lot of room to expand).

Thanks Guys!

Only bottleneck from the 4GB card is in ya wallet..... as ya can see here.... 4GB gives ya nothing that 2 GB doesn't give ya .... sometimes 4GB is a s much as 1 fps faster, other times it's 1 fps slower.

As for the rest ......

Hero is a nice board but even with it's recent $20 price drop, I don't think it's worth $200. I'd buy the MSI Z87 GD-65 in a heartbeat before the Hero .... look at the reviews ....GD-65 has more Editor's Choice Awards than anything in this price segment....don't take my word for it , read the reviews.

Here's a sampling

Now if ya willing to spend a bit more money....the Asus Maximus VI Formula is a killer board ($290 atm on newegg after coupon code)

Mushkin also took top honors in THGs recent testing .... the 1866 and 2133 models are particularly attractive.

As for the Black (148.5), Id go with the 7200.14 (193.5 Mbps - 30% faster than the black)

1. I'm going for 4 GB just because I'd like to future proof a little, kinda. I know some games exceed 2 GB like BF4 and such, and I think with the 4 GB, it really only improves the minimum FPS, and I'm capturing, so that's a plus. And it'd be nice to do 3 monitors or 1600p at 60 FPS average.

2. I don't shop MOBOs often but I've heard ASUS boards have much better customer service... I'll look more into the MSI, though.

3. I'm a little confused at what your saying here... Is the Seagate drive faster?

Thanks!
