Hi all I have decided to build a water cooling loop in my PC. This would be my first water cooling loop and I am quite excited to get things underway. The equipment i will be cooing is a intel 4770k processor, and a EVGA Geforce 780 GTX part# P4-2782. I would also like to cool the motherboard but i have not found any full solutions for my asus Z87 pro.

The parts i have chosen for this loop are:
EK D5 X-top pump
EK 360XTX rad
EK dual spin res
Heatkiller rev 3.0 cpu block
Heatkiller GPU-x GTX Titan reference design
6' primochill blood red 3/8"x5/8" tubing
10 EK G1/4 3/8"x5/8" compression fittings

I am planning to put this into my Cooler Master HAF X case. If you would be so kind to give me feedback on the products i have selected it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

MoBo - Using the EK Cooling Configurator, they have no WBs for the Asus Z87 pro....

If ya haven't bought it yet, Id suggest the Asus Maximus VI Formula

Case - The HAF-X is a bit limited for water cooling and I would consider the 360 rad a bit small for GFX + CPU..... Might wanna look at something with a bit more flexibility like the Enthoo primo ....

In the above case , Id recommend something like

It would have been nice but i have already purchased the motherboard and the case ive had for a few years already and dont really feel like spending the cash to get another case. Do you think that the rad you suggested would fit into the HAF X? Or am i stuck with only going as big as a 360 rad?

The HAF-X used to be one of my favorite cases..... but it's an old design and a bit "long in the tooth" as the saying goes. I haven't had one on front of me in over 2 years so memory not helping me much.

AFAIK, the only options are 3 x 120 on top and 1 x 120 on rear.

Ya it had been quite a long time since they have revised this case. Would putting a different rad or going into a push pull configuration provide enough cooling?
Edit: The phantek is really nice looking case would be perfect with lots of room to expand my loop in the future.

Cool .... pun intended :) .... I have been trying to collect data on exactly what performance increases one can accomplish with various step ups .... On Haswell for example.... extreme water cooling doesn't seem to be getting much performance improvement over minimal WC or even on air.

My son just bought a replacement radiator for his jeep .... was $80 .... a decent 2 x 140mm costs that much .... Im tempted

Ya your not kidding if i only had the room in the office. And now with winter coming stick it outside a have below ambient and even later below freezing temps for cooling.
I did read on EVGA's website that the card i have will only draw 250W max but with a little overclocking it would draw more. Im not exactly sure what that would translate to heat wise but im guessing it would pretty well be one to one?

That is for sure. Just looking around at cases from Lian li and nzxt that phantek case is definitely designed for water cooling with plenty of expansion room as well. I just might have to look into buying this case...

Newegg (USA) has it as of 10/14

Im gonna guess that CanadaComputers might be willing to take care of ya :)

Hope ya gonna put this in it

Well i have checked with canada computers and they say that they will not ship to alberta quite yet since they will have limited supplies of the case.
What do you think about a Corsair 900D?

Ya that's what I kinda figured as well. I just wonder how long I have to wait until they would ship here to Alberta...

Just got off the phone with phantek and they won't be shipping to Canada directly. I guess the only chance is to see if newegg places it on their website on release day or any of the other online retailers.

So as for tubing do you think I should use acrylic or regular tubing. I'm thinking I will go with white tubing with red led bar to accent it. Also what does it mean when it says uv in the description of the acrylic tubing?

Just ordered a bunch of parts from frozencpu last night. Didn't buy the rads yet though because I am not sure if I will be getting the 900d or the enthoo primo case. I did however go to my local shop here ( memory express) and they said they will talk to their purchasers to see if they can get an enthoo primo for me. I will have to post what I bought later as I am at work typing this on my phone.

Just got unto FrozenCPU's website and see that they have the Enthoo Primo Case up there finally. So with that in mind i can now finally order some rads, fans and things. I think i will be going with a Nexxxos XT45 on top since it can placed in a push/pull config.
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/16830/ex-rad-431/Alphacool_NexXxoS_XT45_Full_Copper_Triple_140mm_Radiator.html?id=8Hsz4gqC&mv_pc=6545

On the bottom i will be going with a Nexxxos Monsta Rad.
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/16237/ex-rad-412/Alphacool_NexXxoS_Monsta_Quad_120mm_Radiator_-_80mm_Thick.html?id=8Hsz4gqC&mv_pc=6690

Now the next question are fans i was thinking of going with 8 of these
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/16920/fan-1050/Noiseblocker_NB-eLoop_B12-P_120mmx25mm_Ultra_Silent_Bionic_Blade_PWM_Fan_-_800_-_2000_RPM_Hot_Item.html?tl=g36c365s936&id=8Hsz4gqC&mv_pc=7252

And then 6 of these
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/18565/fan-1180/Noiseblocker_NB-BlackSilentPro_PK-PS_140mm_x_25mm_Ultra_Quiet_PWM_Fan_-_400-1500_RPM_-_29_dBA.html?tl=g36c365s1507&id=8Hsz4gqC&mv_pc=7435

Now i know I should have a fan controller for all of theses so what kind would you reccommend? i was thinking this
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/20886/bus-353/NZXT_Sentry_Mix_2_525_Bay_Six_Channel_Fan_Controller_-_Black_-_30W_per_Channel_C-SEN-MIX2-M1.html?tl=g47c17s817&id=8Hsz4gqC&mv_pc=8353

Also on a side note i have ordered the Swiftech Dual Extreme Duty Small Form Factor 12 VDC Industrial PWM Pump - Black (MCP35X2-BK) http://www.frozencpu.com/products/14961/ex-pmp-173/Swiftech_Dual_Extreme_Duty_Small_Form_Factor_12_VDC_Industrial_PWM_Pump_-_Black_MCP35X2-BK.html
i saw that JackNaylorPE had this pump in that build and like the fact that it has two pumps so that if one fails the other will still be able to do the job. My question is how would you control the speed would you be doing that from the PWM header that comes with the Enthoo Primo which would be connected to the mother board? Or could it be controlled from the fan controller?
