Hi All,

First time build on a seriously tight budget. Use will be 50-70% web surfing and web apps, 25% OpenOffice/MS Office teleworking, and eventually 5% simple picture/video editing. This build reuses some parts and goes without Windows or a separate graphics card for the moment. Will add someday. I chose the setup to be able to add future computing power (i.e., socket and RAM) and graphics as needs arise, as $$ is available, and hopefully futureproofed MOBO.

My big question is what cooling do I need in terms of heat sink and fan, and maybe case fan, given its planned end state? I won't likely be overclocking, RAIDing, SLI or cross-firing. And I guess I need thermal compound? Thanks in advance. Here's the link to the parts:

You won't need a heat sink and fan, the AMD CPU comes with one that will be more than adequate for what you are doing: It will already have thermal compound on the heat sink so you won't need that either.
Probably don't need a case fan as long as the rear fan is exhausting at the top rear of the case, and there is an intake fan at the front.
I DO suggest you look into a Seasonic, XFX, or Corsair PSU in the near future as the Thermaltakes do not have a good reputation for longivity; but since you are on a budget and it is working now, it will probably last awhile.
