I'm having a strange issue when installing the latest driver for my newly installed Radeon 7850 2gb graphics card. I install the newest driver for it, and it prompts a PC restart, so I restart my PC, and once it boots back up, all I see is my wallpaper/background. When I boot in Safe Mode, It works fine and I uninstall the driver, which solves the problem, but I would like to use my graphics card, if at all possible. Also, I'm running on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit. Thanks in advance.

Solution
Boot into Win, when the wallpaper is up, wait about a minute, then do a CTRL-ALT-DEL which should bring up TASK MANAGER, select NEW TASK and type EXPLORER, then enter......if that brings up the desktop, my want ot uninstall the drivers, make sure you have the latest ones and reinstall

Well, thanks, but when I try to bring up Command Prompt, there is just a black screen. I already tried reinstalling the driver about 3 times, and it's the newest one, but I get the same problem. Any other tips on fixing this problem? I would really appreciate it if some one helped me solve this disappointing issue.

EDIT: Solved. Ended up that I was looking at my secondary screen, not my primary. So I hooked up the HDMI cable to my TV and saw my desktop. Changed my primary screen to my monitor. All is good.

I actually have one more question for you. I have an HDMI cable that I would like to use instead of my VGA, but when ever I use it, and set the screens resolution to the highest and best, there are 2 solid black lines that are on the side of my monitor, and the picture does not fit the whole screen. I've already tried messing around with the AMD Control Center and the Screen Properties, but no luck. Any suggestions?

I do have the latest driver. I do have a separate HDMI cable and I do I another screen I can test it on, but same results.
