Here is my MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3 Intel Z68 LGA 1155

I will be playing Battlefield 4 which is why I am upgrading. Max price I am looking to spend is $100.

the 1866 runs at a higher freq, thus providing more memory bandwidth, also at 1866 with a CL of 8 will roughly be equivalent to (and you could even run them at) 1600/7 which will provide good DRAM performance, if you do decide to OC, these will generally go stright up to 2133/9 with no problem

Prices and availability is quite volatile at this point ... what one recommends today could be moot tomorrow..... 1866 and even 2133 (CAS 8 and 9) are running the same price as 1600s for the last few weeks but since the factory fire, world supply is down .....been estimated at 15-30% of world supply capability went up in smoke and many are thinking that vendors are holding back part of their supply in order to have stock and meybe make a lil more more moola during the holiday rush.

I had been using these rather consistently (both 1866 and 2133) until they became rather scarce.

If ya see something decent between $80 and $90 grab it.....might be outta stock the next day .... or even in an hour.
