Hello,

I am using 4 pc in LAN with simple 8 port switch. All are having windows 7 (x64) installed and works fine in lan. IP are set manually as 192.168.0.10 to 192.168.0.13 and with same Work-group

When i connect Dlink 3g Dongle USB (DWM-156)to the first pc to start 3g internet,it connects properly but my other 3pc gets disconnected from network and cannot access the first PC. (other 3 can access data within themselves)

as i use the 4 pcs in LAN for my 3d max rendering work,i always need all 4 pc in network..

what can be the solution for this problem?

regards

I think you have what is happening wrong. Just because the other 3 computers can't connect to the 4th does not mean they get kicked off the network. What is actually happening is when you start the 3G it puts the computer on the 3G network, which is outside your network, so the other 3 computers can't talk to it anymore.

Get a 3G capable router and network your computers though that. You should talk to your service provider as to which routers will work best with your 3G modem.

It might be more appropriate to connect your devices to the internet through a router using the USB dongle. In this case it seems like you're attempting to connect one computer to two different networks at the same time and its disconnecting from your LAN to access the internet network via the dongle.

Yes,actually when i connect 3g dongle to the PC,i can notice that my LAN is disabled automatically no that PC. (other three connects to each other as usual) .
When i remove 3g dongle,it still remain disabled and i need to manually ENABLE it by right clicking.
Most funny part i noticed today is,it is not always disabled by 3g dongle (say 5 from 10 times it will work properly with LAN still ENABLED)

2. If i use 3g dongle through router, all the 4 PC will get internet connection ? (which actually i do not want)

Network Connections>adapter settings>properties> TCP/IP V4 > Advanced?Uncheck Automatic Metric and enter Value 10 (Multiples of 10) for your 3G. Leave your Automatic Metering Checked for LAN. I hope it helps.
PS: If you want to add automatic metering for both, bear in mind that greater metric value takes the precedence for world wide web.
