without a dedicated gpu, id say most games on low settings, but more hungry games (like bf3) you'd run into issues like stuttering and alot of fps drops/

You might be able to play COD 5, Minecraft etc. However, it is advisable to buy a graphics card as soon as possible if you want the best gaming experience possible as even less demanding games may not run smoothly. If you have very less money to spend (assuming it's about $50) you can go for an Nvidia GeForce FX 8400 or the HD6450. However, I really recommend you upgrade your set up if your main focus is going to be gaming. Current-gen games (and next-gen ones) will require you to upgrade your RAM to 8GB. You might need to upgrade your PSU. Instead of spending on an external hard drive, spend money on upgrading your PC. Hope you find this helpful. Happy to help
