My computer (E8200, DX38BT Extreme, 2x2GB DDR3 Corsair XMS, 500GB Seagate Barracuda) Win7 Pro 64-bit BSODs randomly when started cold. It rarely manages to boot into Windows.

However, after I keep it running for a while on the BIOS screen (around 30 minutes or so) and then boot, it works fine!
I've changed the RAM and the problem persists. I use this machine for emails and a little word-processing and am planning to buy a new motherboard.
I'm worried if it might, possibly, be a problem with the processor? Don't want to buy a new (but old-tech!) motherboard only to find that the problems were caused by a faulty processor. This post: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/303071-28-would-bsods-freezing-annoying-problems
is the reason I ask. Thanks! Peston

I know it's not the RAM, Graphics card and the hard disks -- these were all changed or temporarily swapped while troubleshooting. The problem remains. That leaves the power supply, processor and motherboard...

Thanks for the help.
