Solution
It will help boot times as well as random reads/writes if you have programs set to it. Basically do you need your computer to boot in 10-15 seconds and be ready to go, or are you ok with sitting there for maybe a minute while your mechanical drives starts up. Do you need lets say BF3 to boot up a little quicker? then yes a ssd would help. It's all dependent on if you want to shell out some more cash to get a faster more responsive computer. Do you need it? Probably not. But if you want to get the most out of the computer you have, then yes you will see quite a boost in performance.
