Hey guys,
I assembled my motherboard, CPU, ram and GPU to see if the components work, however my CPU fan (stock) spins for a split second then stops.
Parts:
Asus M5a97 evo r2.0 (Bios version 1708)
AMD FX-6300
Kingston hyper x genesis 1600 ram (2x4gb)
Corsair CX500 PSU
MSI 7850 2gb OC
I tried with one ram stick, and without any and the CPU fan still won't spin for more than a second. Also I did the paper clip test on the PSU and the PSU fan spins fine like that, but stops spinning like my CPU fan when I plug it into the motherboard. Also my red led CPU light is on.
I have double checked the power is plugged in properly, I'm not sure what to do/ which part is fault, please help?
