Hi, I want to build a budget rendering/gaming PC. I will use Sony Vegas to render the video, but i dont know how well the Apu i chose will work for sony vegas. I will only do light gaming like LOL or maybe Cod(although i dislike the franchise, MW2 is a beast of a game)

Here are the parts i picked:

AMD A10 5800K Black Edition CPU (3.8GHZ, 4MB Cache, 4 Core, HD7660D, Socket FM2, 100W, Retail Boxed)

AsRock FM2A75 PRO4 Motherboard (Socket FM2, AMD A75 FCH, DDR3, S-ATA 600, ATX, PCI Express 2.0, 7.1 Channel HD Audio, Supports THX TruStudio)

Corsair CMV8GX3M1A1333C9 Value Select 8GB (1x8GB) DDR3 1333 Mhz CL9 Mainstream Desktop Memory Module

Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB SATAIII 6Gb/s 16MB Cache 3.5 inch Internal Hard Drive OEM

TP-Link TL-WN951N 300Mbps Wireless N PCI Adapter

CiT Mars Midi Tower Part-Mesh Gaming Case with 2x Red LED Fans and LED Display

Corsair Builder Series CX 430 Watt ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Bronze Power Supply Unit

External USB 2.0 Slim DVD CD R/RW Drive Burner Writer for Notebook Desktop Laptop, Support Windows XP Vista Windows 7 GHOST SE ME

Now can anyone tell me how well this pc would work for sony vegas rendering? lets say i had a 10 minutes gameplay footage and would want to add commentary to it, how long would that take me...guess xD my first post :)

ooh.. btw, if you guys dont think that the parts i picked are good, be sure to recommend builds... i am a noob with PC... although i understand the basics and what some things do...

Don't get an external DVD burner. You can buy an internal for $15 or less, and installation is once and you're done. If you're going to play games, you do not want an APU, you want at least an FX-4350, FX-6350 would be the best. A CX430 will struggle powering that rig. And that case is garbage. What is your budget? You could probably do much better for the price.

My budget is around $600 since that is around £450 in the UK for pc parts is too expensive. And i am only doing light gaming, for LOl and maybe some older games. I've seen the apu do 60+fps on youtube, and thats enough for me :) i am mainly focusing on getting it for rendering videos... and really :O that case is garbage? what case would you recommend?

CiT is a bargain basement company that is not known for producing quality products. You want to spend about £35 minimum on the case, and you definitely don't want to get a cheap one and have it fall apart on you. Try this:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i3-4330 3.5GHz Dual-Core Processor (£110.52 @ CCL Computers)
Motherboard: ASRock H87 Pro4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard (£64.93 @ Dabs)
Memory: Mushkin Blackline 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory (£37.46 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive (£47.89 @ Scan.co.uk)
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 7790 1GB Video Card (£94.99 @ Ebuyer)
Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case (£47.98 @ Amazon UK)
Power Supply: Antec High Current Gamer 520W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply (£55.82 @ Scan.co.uk)
Optical Drive: Lite-On iHAS124-04 DVD/CD Writer (£12.98 @ Novatech)
Total: £472.57
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

Slightly over budget but the Intel Core i3-4430 will provide a much stronger CPU than an AMD APU will, and the Radeon 7790 will be give an added boost of performance for video editing. Also included a better case and a Seasonic manufactured PSU.

Okay, thank you for everything, i just have 1 more question just to be sure :) the "Intel Core i3-4330 3.5GHz Dual-Core Processor" is a dual core cpu while the "AMD a10 5800 is a quad core processor with 3.8GHZ", does that make a difference for video editing?

The two cores are stronger on the Intel i3, where the AMD APU controls the graphics on the processor, and runs four cores for the CPU and four cores for the GPU. This benchmark shows what I am talking about: http://www.cpu-world.com/Compare/440/AMD_A10-Series_A10-5800K_vs_Intel_Core_i3_i3-4330.html

The Intel has fewer cores but more threads, which is critical for video editing.
