Hello everyone,

I have had this problem for around 10 months now and it is driving me nuts.
Every time I try to update my drivers I get error messages, I tried the installer which gave errors, I tried it via the Device Manager which gave an error and I can't get GeForce Expierence, because my graphics card is not supported.

The weird problem is, my graphics card is not that old, it is an GeForce GTX 660, I should be able to update right?

Anyway, I also tried editing the .inf files in the driver folder, but to no avail, it asks if I am sure that I want to use these drivers, I press yes and it fails yet again.
My Device Instance Path is PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_11C0&SUBSYS_11C01569&REV_A1\4&2DAD7FA4&0&0008 I can find DEV_11C0, but my SUBSYS is nowhere to be found, also there are too many files so I do not know which one to mod.

Can someone please help me, I really want to play the beta of Battlefield 4.
I also had a AMD card in the past, if that is important.

Thanks in advance!

Try re-installing the old drivers first. Something may be corrupt or missing.
Try installing the new drivers by running the installer "As Administrator". Even if you're an admin user, just do it. It wont hurt anything.
If you can install the new drivers from scratch, not just an update but a full install as if no drivers ever existed TO update, uninstall the old drivers and install the new. Might be a better idea to do this in safe mode.

Perhaps some other people will chime in with different solutions like editing registry entries, modding files, or moving directories around to get this to work. If all else fails, you could re-install Windows entirely and install only the new updated drivers.

Hello,

I downloaded the drivers multiple times.
I deleted everything that had something to do with my drivers, did it a clean install, but I either get "A driver ahs been found but there was an error while installing' by using Device Manager or a screen that says that everything failed with the NVIDIA updater.
I notice in the NVIDIA files that my Subsys is different from the one listed for the GTX 660, I tried following this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EG4S1An96CM (That has the exact error that I get with the NVIDIA installer in the first few seconds) but cannot get it to work, does anybody know how to try that?

Thanks for all the help!

Hello,

I tried everything, installing in safe mode, completely removing drivers, but the installation always fails, my guess is that my Graphics Card is not in the files, which makes the installation go wrong.
Anyway, I did a lot of random things and suddenly the newest drivers showed up in Device Manager, but still I would like to resolve these issues for a future update.

Thanks for the help everyone.
