Hey, thanks for reading!

I've bought a new corsair carbide 500R together with a Asus Sabertooth 990FX Rev2.0 Motherboard.

Everything works fine, but I can't seem to connect the 3pin connector for the Big side fan properly. It's a black connector with two clips on the side(To lock it on or something)

Problem is, when I attach it to a 3pin slot on my Mobo, My pc won't even boot and shuts off after a few seconds..

I've also tried connecting it to the PSU directly, but it won't even fit into the extension.

What kind of connector is this?

Can you plug in a different fan in that slot and still boot? The fan connector should be a standard 3pin connector. Make sure you aren't plugging it in upside down or something weird like that. The two little side pokey outey bits (technical term) should go on either side of the bigger pokey outey bit on the mobo.

Maybe take a picture of the connector?

J_E_D_70 you still here and have the 500R case?

I have a question about the 4 pin molex coming from the front header (which only has 2 black wires in it); does it go to power and not the mobo? I have a Corsair HX750 psu

It connects to a cable coming from the case itself, connecting to the psu. The mobo is not involved

Thanks. I thought it was a power connector to the front header.
