So i was about to buy a 7850 but stopped myself from doing it which of these 2 cards are better ?
and will 660 run on my PSU ( my PSU IS cooler master thunder 500W) ???

MY RIG is

AMD fx 8120 (no overclocking and all)
PSU - cooler master thunder 500W ( i know its not good but I CANNOT CHANGE IT)
RAM 8gb

the main questions are which of the 2 cards are better and will 660 run on my PSU?

Link of my PSU for details - http://www.flipkart.com/cooler-master-thunder-500w-500-watts-psu/p/itmdbm7fefnpygyn?pid=PSUDBM7EDH7YSFTZ&otracker=from-search&srno=t_1&query=cooler+master+500W&ref=89a93b02-a383-46b4-bea8-777eac98c08c

Solution
The GTX660 is the stronger card, but I would not trust the CM PSU. It may not be good for its label, or like some other low-end CM PSUs might be missing claimed protection circuits. In the absence of a competent technical review, based on past dishonesty from this brand, the HD7850 would be safer.

Solution
If the CM PSU were good for its label, it would be able to run a HD7950. Knowing how many of this company's low-end products are dishonestly labeled however, I am not going to recommend that you trust something that I myself would not.

For the last time your psu will work for the 660. If you are nervous about the quality of your psu then just upgrade to a trusty corsair psu.

For my part, there's no confusion. CM is known to dishonestly label some of their products, earning the brand a place on my personal "Do Not Buy" list for dishonesty. Some of their products are not too bad, but in the absence of a competent technical review, there is no way to tell. Since you say you do not have a choice, I am merely suggesting erring on the side of caution, but then 1) I am risk averse, and 2) although I recognize others might feel differently, I won't recommend something I wouldn't do myself. Others may certainly have opinions different from mine.
You may go here: http://www.johnnylucky.org/power-supplies/psu-lemon-list.html and see some listings, with reviews, that may help. The "Thunder" series isn't there yet, but so many other CM models are.
