Hiya,

I currently have a Crucial m4 as my boot disk with a few programs on and a standard spin disk for storage. Im now looking for more storage, I dont need huge amount as it will be for Photoshop and Premiere Pro (temporary storage basically). Do I get a 250gb sata 3 ssd or 2x 128gb sata 2 in raid 0?

Thnks

Its only temporary storage, so losing data is no big deal to me on these drives! Which is the better performer as I can get the 2 sata 2s cheaper than a sata 3

As you will be doing a lot of writes and re-writes to the drive, I would avoid a RAID. Most computer don't support TRIM over RAID so your drive performance will dive quickly. A single SSD would be able to TRIM and maintain better performance overall.
