My computer shut down automatically

Whenever i power on my PC, it starting up and then it asking for the windows CD,
the problem that the pc automatically shutting down after 1~2 min and when i am trying restart,
it happening even faster!

any idea?

I not sure how old your PC is but I would think of re-pasting the CPU with some thermal solution as it gets crusty and old after time. That can also cause overheating which I think might be the problem as the guy above mentioned

Hi,

Most likely it's a overheating issue, open the case and remove dust if not done already.
If the computer is clean it's probably a power supply issue. You need to test with another one to be sure that the problem.
What is you computer specs ?
