I have a stock (aside from hdd) lenovo y570 laptop 6gb (1x2gb 1x4gb) ram. About a year ago it suffered a blow that I thought had broken the motherboard. The other day I decided to open it up (I already have a new laptop so it was just curiosity) and see what actually killed it. Upon inspection there appeared to be no physical damage, so I tried booting it. Here is the problem, it will boot and run perfectly with either stick of RAM in either RAM slot, but when both sticks are placed in their slots (no matter the configuration) the screen will not turn on, the fan will only pulse on and off a few times, and the LEDs turn on, nothing else. I am not very knowledgeable about these things so I have no idea what else to try with this computer. Any thoughts?

Also, it did boot up on a single occasion with both sticks in, but after a few minutes in windows i got BSOD.
