Whats my next step?

Hello everyone,

I am currently running a PC with these specs:

MSI jasmine MB
AMD A8 5500 @3.2ghz
HD 7950
8GB RAM
CORSAIR GS800 PSU

My plan was to upgrade the APU to an A10 6800K @4.1ghz to help cope with upcoming game releases.

I can only go up to an A10 because of the socket type on the motherboard.

My question is this..

Will the A10 make a huge difference seeing as its still a quad core and will it be able to get me decent enough graphics settings to get by with for now, or should I stick with the A8 because it makes more sense to upgrade the MB and then get an 8 core processor?

The obvious answer is the latter I know but there are some seriously tasty games just on the horizon and if the A10 will do the job then awesome! If not its a post christmas PC overhaul due to funds :/

Thanks for reading and your time!

To be honest just save up a bit for a decent 970 or 990 chipset motherboard and a FX 8320 (Just a underclocked 8350) The A10 would be OK but you are going to be better off with a FX series processor.

I knew that would be the case, just needed to hear it myself.

    Thank you
