What type of bios is it? and are you sure that your keyboard is working? Have you tried the cd drive and the usb into another computer? how did you know that they worked?

the asus efi there two settings you have to be care full the first is on the main page of the bios. on the bottom you have to drag the usb or cd rom as first boot device. in the advance mode under hard drive set the usb stick as device one. and then under boot order set hard drive as first boot device. dont put the efi usb or efi cd-rom as first boot device. on power up hit one of the f keys to set the boot device.

when you setup the USB stick did you install a boot sector on it as well?

from the command line you should have entered a command like "d:\boot> bootsect.exe /nt60 f:"

check that your not putting the one marked efi first. also did you use the microsoft iso to usb tool and is your usb stick fat 32 formated. and is your windows disk oem or full version. the windows upgrade cd is not. try downloading windows 7 iso from digital rivers.

you need to do this, the USB stick needs a boot partition.
open a command console, Start + R -> type cmd and return

change to the drive your win 7 source files are on - type the drive letter with colon e.g. f:

use the CD command to navigate to the boot folder within your e.g. cd Program files will take you to the "Program Files" sub folder, cd\ will take you to the root of the drive, cd.. will take you up a folder level.

once you are in the "boot" folder of your win7 source directory you will create a boot sector on your usb stick by typing in "bootsect /nt60 g:" at the command prompt
note - the "g:" should be replaced by whatever drive letter your usb stick is actually on
