I have a Pentium 4 processor at 2.8 Ghz.
a 1 gb nVidia GPU
and currently using the a07 dell bios revision.

I want to go from 4 GB of RAM to 7 GB with out the machine getting stuck in a boot loop.

To do that, you'd have to change the motherboard.

According to the manual, p. 63, it supports a maximum of 4GB. 1GB per slot.
