Radeon HD 7970: Is it worth it?

I'm thinking of getting this card for my new pc. I was going to get a HD7870 but my budget got a sizable boost so I went up to this card. I want to know if there are better cards out there in this price range

For the price range, no. The 7970 is a great card for the value. There are without a doubt better cards but not for the price. The 7970 will give you a card capable of running pretty much all modern games at 1080 at 60+ frames and can easily be overclocked. It also comes with 3 games. Can't really beat that right now.

I see have the HD7970 listed as your GPU can you give me some performance figures on some of the games you play?
  4. Well I have vertical sync on but I get 60+ in BF3, Medal of Honor, CoD:BO2, Assassin's Creed, LA Noire, Counter Strike, and Ace Combat. The only one game I own that doesnt get 60+FPS is World of Warcraft but having an AMD processor is the cause of that. Even then, I can keep 30+ in a 25 man raid...
  5. Ok, thanks =)
