Okay so i'm running XP professional SP3 Intel(r) Pentium(r) 4 CPU 2.80GHz 2.79GHz, .99GIG of Ram... i'm not sure what psu i have but im guessing its stock... i don't really feel like opening it up to find out but i will if its necessary. But my question is what video card i could install so i can play some games most World of Warcraft but i do want to play newer games also like call of duty or grand theft auto... but for right now i'm trying to play some WOW.

so like i said my question is what graphics card i could install. also..

i know my RAM is low so i will be adding more but my question with that is could i add 2 extra GIGs or could i add more. or can my system as is not handle 2 more GIGs.

eventually i do plan on changing everything on my computer but it will take time because im low on funds for right now im mainly worried about the RAMs and the graphics card.

id like to change my psu eventually also but to do that would i have to change my motherboard and everything else?

I'd also like a graphics card that has a HDMI port if possible!

by the way i do not have the small version of the gx280 its the bigger one.

if anyone needs some more info just ask I'm new to this so I'm a noob lol

thanks for your help!!

A gtx 280 even though being old is a fairly large card, you could probably upgrade to a radeon 7950 from xfx since they have a smaller pcb and cooler. Just make sure you read about their power requirements before you make a purchase. But from what I am guessing you have a good enough power supply since the gtx 280 requires more power and amps than the radeon 7950. that would be the best that you can get under budget right now for around $205 us dollars

According to your specifications:

small mini-tower computer with processor
speeds of 3.2 GHz or lower: 250 W
small mini-tower computer with processor
speeds of 3.4 GHz or higher: 305 W

You only have a 250 watt power supply, so I'd be leery of even an HD7750 in that system. If you're going to add a discrete graphics card, I'd have to recommend updating the power supply as well.

Your system can accept a maximum of 4GB DDR2-400/533 RAM (4x1GB). If you currently have 2x512MB RAM modules installed, I'd probably keep using them and just add 2GB (2x1GB) RAM of the same speed.

Shut down and power off your computer.
Disconnect the power cord from both the wall socket and the power supply.
Press and release the computer's power button three or four times.
Open your case.
There are two power cables connected to your motherboard. These will need to be disconnected
There are power cables connected to your hard drive(s) and optical drive(s). These will need to be disconnected.
At the rear of your case, there are four screws attaching the power supply to the chassis. These will need to be removed.
The power supply should now be free and you should be able to lift it from the chassis. If other components are in the way, they will need to be removed as well.
To install the new power supply, reverse the above procedure.

Edit: Yes, replacing your current RAM solution with 4x1GB DDR2-400 or DDR2-533 RAM modules would work.
