I'm planning on buying a new moniter for my in progress pc build. I will be using a headset so moniter speakers are not required. So this makes me think there will be no need to get a HDMI moniter. So i want to know if DVI-D will retain the same image quality as HDMI? Also if i got a HDMI to DVI-D cable would this also keep the same quality or would it deteriorate.

My build is for mid range gaming if this helps!

There is no difference in quality. The only difference is that HDMI streams the audio also, but can only output 60hz (60 fps)

There will be no change in quality, it will look the same as if you weren't using the converter.
