How important is water cooling? I am build a custom pc and I watched a video that said if your committing to a high end card like this you normally already have a water cooling system, and I don't! My first thought was that it sounded pretty cool, my second was my worried self about how easy it is to break or leak, and finally I figured I would need some sort of special case. So I guess my questions are:
1: Do I really need water cooling?
2: How much better is it than a normal fan?
3: How easy is it to break/leak?
4: What type of case should I get, it cant be to spendy because i'm building my rig with a max of $1,500 on my whole system.
Thanks in advance!

Solution
Answer to 1: no it is not necessary Although it does cool the components better.
answer to 2: This would depend on how elaborate you make it, Size of the Radiators and fans as an example.
Answer to 3: If you use a closed loop water solution they are usually pretty durable But if you do a custom water loop then once you build it and place it try not to move it much as the jarring can make the fittings leak.
Answer to 4: This will depend on which way you go with the water cooling. do you want to do a custom loop or a closed loop system?

closed loops are for example: corsair H60, h80, H90, H100, H110. there are other companys but this will give you something to look up and see how they are.

I would suggest an AIO(All In One) loop like the Corsair h100i, Eisberg 240xl prestige or a really high end air cooler like the Noctua-NHD14. Water cooling is something not to be taken lightly and needs to be researched quite well. Take a look at Linus Tech Tips or Timetolivecustoms for a really good Watercooling guide. Hope this helps
